One Reality. Many perspectives

Have you ever wondered why the world has a lot of conflicts, ideologies, cultures, religions, thoughts, etc?

Well the answer takes in-depth contemplation and openness of mind.

This simple image explains all of it. The same object which is drawn looks like 6 from one viewpoint and 9 from another viewpoint.

This is all. if you contemplate on the above image in its profound depth and dimension you will know the reason behind all of the world’s human diversity, ideologies, conflicts, etc,.

Hypothetical story:

Just freshly after 1–2 years of big bang happened, Marso Martians (the then only species of cosmos) were exploring various cosmic spaces so as to inhabitate and start a life there. so they sent two intelligent groups of people for exploration. one group went to moono (the then moon’s name) and another group went to eartho (the then earth’s name). They were documenting the space features, characteristics, etc,. the leaders of troops got connected over the telephone and discussed progress in the exploration etc, they could not agree on one point regarding the shape of the eartho.

They went on arguing the eartho is flat, flat and flat only.. but the other went on saying no it is spherical, spherical only. Argument grown into a heated argument, it rose to such a level that they started to attack each other( the Martians have a special power in their hands to throw laser beams which would destroy anything to pieces) so both the troops attacked each other and moono and eartho both became pieces with no leftover at all…

Hmm.. this is how it is when people lack the necessary intelligence to understand, perceive, and respect other people’s perceptions.

The challenge we face with our own thinking, as well as the thinking of others, is how to ensure that perceptions remain close to reality. This alignment is essential for us to live in the real world, find consensus with others, and maintain the individual, governmental, and societal structures that are necessary for life as we know it to exist. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

  • Don’t assume that your perceptions are reality (just your reality)
  • Be respectful of others’ perceptions (they may be right)
  • Don’t hold your perceptions too tightly; they may be wrong (admitting it takes courage)
  • Recognize the distortions within you that may warp your perceptions (seeing them will better ground your perceptions in reality rather than the other way around)
  • Challenge your perceptions (do they hold up under the microscope of reality?)
  • Seek out validation from experts and credible others (don’t just ask your friends because they likely have the same perceptions as you)
  • Be open to modifying your perceptions if the preponderance of evidence demands it (rigidity of mind is far worse than being wrong)

The next time someone tosses that tired trope — “but perception is reality” — in defense of the indefensible, you stand up and tell them that it might be their perception, but it is not reality.

So this is the lesson every one of us must keep in our minds and try to practically apply it throughout our lives.

Few other daily life situations can be

i) Religious Conflicts: Though most religions preach harmony, compassion, and noble ideals, etc,. it led to the greatest amount of bloodshed on the planet.

An apple is an apple anywhere on earth although it’s color and taste might change from place to place but we call it apple only, so with animals like tiger some places there are white ones, black-brown ones but they are identified as tigers only.

Similarly these homo sapiens (descendants of Marso Martians) are also essentially the same. some are white, black, in between, tall, short, fat, lean, etc,. the physical characteristics vary, so in mind leftist, rightist, optimist, pessimist, happy one, the miserable one, peaceful ones, violent ones, etc,. so too their ideals some practice Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, etc,. so, one person is a conglomeration of all the above attributes.

Now, if we pick two homo sapiens at random and ask them to start conversation who knows if they might end up killing each other because one person believes one thing and the other one believes some other thing. Religion is a complex topic, so simply try to respect other person views, you have no business to influence or force other people to follow your ideas. let individuals decide what is best for them.

ii) Wife and husband conflicts — although it depends on various subjective realities, just try to place the pros and cons of given situations and decide on the best option which gives your wellbeing, simply quarreling leads to endless anger, misery, and other complications.

iii) Similarly peer conflicts, political conflicts, etc,. I’m hoping you got to know the basis of these now.

Back to our Marso Martians,

So the Marso Martians who were waiting for these two troops kept on waiting and their food reserves got over and eventually, all of them died.. 😛 .

Recently researchers did research and found

Only one guy remained in this whole species and he had the wisdom to stay quiet and somehow that worked, so in 1.45 light-years away he sensed life which is our today called planet earth. And that guy's name is Cosmo-Saviour-Martian.

But this research article was abandoned by the research team, sensing this would lead to a birth of new religion and would cause another chaos. Truly that research team seems to have intelligent and sensible people.

Gist: W — if you see from above, and M if you look from below. Have the openness of mind to accept/point out others' views. It’s like the movie is the same but each perceives it differently accordingly to their mind. The reason for all conflict two thoughts opposing each other. It’s not really persons fighting, we identify ourselves with these silly thoughts and fight. For the same situation it can be viewed from a lot of viewpoints and then arrive at some solution instead of sticking to your own static viewpoint and judging the whole of life from that standpoint. who knows if you can hit a goldmine seeing the mountain from another viewpoint.

Let me know your views below.
